‘77 Golden Ale for National Marquette Day Blue & Gold Brewing

I had the pleasure to be a part of the Student team of Blue and Gold Brewing that produced and launched the ‘77 Golden Ale.

‘77 Golden Ale was the result of working with five Marquette Alumni to create a Marquette-inspired beer for National Marquette Day. I worked with three other Marquette Business students as well as Good City Brewing, Broken Bat Brewing, Gathering Place Brewing, and Draught Guard on this project.

Some of my responsibilities included collaborating on the B&G brand identity and beer can label design within necessary timeline, working with Student team to pitch beer can concept and name to the Beer Board and Account Executives, developing a mood board and  two to three mock-ups and pitch to team for final selections, and overall effectively communicate the campaign objective through design.

Beyond brand identity design, I also coordinated with other students to devise social media and marketing plan for the launch of the beer on NMD, executed digital and print graphics for marketing materials needed, created print marketing for retail (i.e. shelf talkers, one-pagers for events, and NMD Promotions (Presentation slide(s), email banner).

The Ripple Effect Marquette Journal Spring 2022

As a part of my role as Chief Designer for the Marquette Wire, I had the responsibility of coming up with the design system for the semesterly magazine; the Marquette Journal. Each semester there was a different theme, and my job was to make sure that the design of the magazine was consistent.

For Spring 2022 the theme was Ripple Effect,  which illustrated how the Marquette community has been effected and affects the surrounding Milwaukee area. Since the theme was abstract, I thought a great way to represent this would be through geometric and colorful design.

Three Sisters Cocktail Menu

Typography II project where we had to design a menu for a fictional restaurant that served certain cuisine.

I was assigned Three Sisters Bar which served specialty cocktails. This project made me learn the importance of menu design and how it is the first impression of a restaurant.

I loved the challenge of sourcing the content for the menu and then strategically organizing it on the page.
